On
March 23rd there was a
meeting of TOEFL Test Takers Club. The club was led by a student of Ternopil
national economic university Diana Goliash.
The
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) measures the ability of nonnative
speakers of English to use and understand North American English as it is
spoken, written and heard in college and university settings. Most people who
take the TOEFL test are planning to study at colleges and universities where
instruction is in English. In addition, many government agencies, scholarship
programs, and licensing/certification agencies use TOEFL scores to evaluate
English proficiency.
There
were 9 participants, among them 6 students, 2 specialists and 1 volunteer. They
trained in reading section of TOEFL iBT test. They had 30 minutes to read the
text. Then they answered the questions and discussed
the text.
