In Window on America center, Ternopil Oblast Library, on March 15th
there was a meeting of English-speaking club on the topic “Saint
Patrick`s day”. The club was led by a PC volunteer Alonzo Hudkins. The
leader of "Window on America" Olesia Goncharuk prepared presentation
about history of this holiday and some examples of celebrations in
different countries.
The presentation was held by Alonzo Hudkins.
27 participants were present; among them 1 volunteer from USA, 17 student`s, 5 specialists, 2 pupils (11th formers) and 2 librarians. They listened to some facts about the holiday, took part in discussing different ways of celebrating St. Patrick`s day.
Then participants talked about Ireland, Irish traditions and music, watched video of Irish singers.
